He’d pour coffee over his cornflakes with milk, and I’d always sneak a few bites, fascinated by the rich aroma and grown-up flavor. Later, at my grandmother’s house, espresso flowed freely during Sunday dinners — strong, bold, and served with love, no matter the hour. Those early experiences planted the seeds of a lifelong connection.

As I grew, so did my curiosity for coffee. From the cobblestone streets of Boston to the bustling avenues of New York City, I chased every chance to discover a better cup. But no matter where I went, something was always missing. The coffee was decent — but it lacked soul. It lacked flavor.
